Băile Sărate Solca

An outdoor pool of heated salt water, in January, with snow along the edge.

It is the newest salt-bath complex in Bucovina and the only one with an outdoor pool heated all year round. That means that in January you sit in warm salt water, under the open sky, with the steam rising around you and snow along the edge of the pool. There are few places in the country where you can do that.

Solca is an hour and ten minutes from our gate, on the road between Gura Humorului and Cacica, so it fits easily with the monasteries or with the salt mine.
