The whole house, to yourselves

You arrive, you close the gate, and the noise stays outside.

In the morning a rooster wakes you, not an alarm. You make your coffee and step barefoot into the garden: the grass is grass, not lawn, with dew and wildflowers in it. Inside, the house is warm and soft, with good beds, gentle light and quiet. Nobody hurries you. You have every comfort you need and none of the noise you don't.

For visitors from abroad

How you actually get here.

The nearest airport is Suceava, 84 km away, about two hours by car. Cluj and Iași are the next options, both around four hours. Câmpulung Moldovenesc has its own railway station, ten minutes from the house, on the line from Suceava to Vatra Dornei.

You will want a car. The painted monasteries, the mountain passes and the trailheads are spread across the county, and buses between villages run on a timetable made for locals, not for visitors. Everything we recommend on this site comes with the real driving time from our gate.

“A special place, spotless, spacious and quiet; you can see the attention to detail in everything you find in this guest house. And the library… Wow… it fascinated me, I had my nose in those books the whole time… it was like magic to remember some I'd read (many I'd like to read again) and to wish I had others in my own library. Congratulations!”
