Experiences · water and rest
Mineral water, brine, mofettes and peat mud. The places where you do nothing, and that is the point.
Bucovina has five kinds of water you drink or step into: carbonated at Vatra Dornei, salt at Cacica, sulphurous at Iacobeni, plus the peat mud of Tinovul Mare and the mofettes full of carbon dioxide. None of it is new infrastructure: the waters were here before the Austrians, and the spa towns were built around them.
This page gathers the places you can visit, with what is known exactly about them: which treatments are done, whether you have to stay there, what papers you need and what it costs.
The section is growing. The borcut springs and the rest of the region's waters are next.

The house is in Câmpulung, in the middle of the map: the monasteries east, the mountains west, the steam train north. You don't drive far to get anywhere.
