In 1785 the Austrian administration dissolved the monastery. The buildings became a warehouse, then a brewery, and Solca stayed known across Bucovina for beer and mineral water precisely because of that. Monastic life came back only in 2000, after two hundred and fifteen years of interruption. It is the only monastery on this list with a factory in its biography.
