What the walking is like

The last Bucovina day, and a gentle one after those before it: 23 km, nine hours, but only 444 m of ascent, the least in the whole land after the first stage. It starts through clearings, then enters the forest, passes Tinovul Larion, a peat bog nature reserve, and goes under a viaduct. This is the day you can breathe, after the two stages of over a thousand metres of ascent. If you are walking the whole land, this is the moment to stop at Poiana Stampei as well.

Where to sleep along the way

  Guesthouses in the village, at the end of the stage. Being already in another land, the lodgings here no longer appear on the Bucovina list.

Call at least a day ahead. In villages lodging is prepared, not found: your host puts the water on to heat and cooks only if she knows you are coming. Prices change from season to season, so confirm them on the phone.
