What the walking is likeSlightly hard, because of the long climb at the start up to Poiana Cătunenilor and the one on the road that turns to mud in wet weather. Big height differences, but the reward matches.

LandscapeFrom the ridges of Poiana Cătunenilor, in good weather, you see the whole Rodnei range, the Suhard, the Oușor, the 12 Apostles, the whole Călimani range and the Heniu. It is one of the few clearings on the trail where you turn on the spot and see five massifs.
