What the walking is likeSlightly hard, with a long climb at the start up to Dealu' Frâu, that is Poiana lui Gălan, and another from the Romans' Road up to Pășunea Rusu. Two kilometres shorter than the main variant and with 127 metres less to climb.

LandscapeFrom the ridges of Gălan's clearing, in good weather, the Rodnei, the Suhard, the Oușor, the 12 Apostles, the Călimani and the Heniu all open up.
