What the walking is likea moderate route. The pastoral landscape sets the tone from the start, down to the descent onto the DN17 road, which you cross once, then follow a path a few metres alongside it
Critical spotseven though there is a dedicated sign at the pedestrian crossing, it is new and needs extra care when crossing the road; and on the summit at Brazii Buni it is best to know the weather forecast, as there is little shelter in bad conditions
Landscapeas far as Valea Străjii, coming from Tășuleasa, the views are astonishing, with farmsteads typical of the Bârgău country and shepherds offering curd cheese. On the second half, past the DN17, the magical landscape returns within about four kilometres on a gentle climb, and the eye never tires of it
