1. Day 131 min · 25,5 km Moldovița Monastery Rarău hermitage

   Start close: Moldovița Monastery, 31 minutes away, with its yellow and the Siege of Constantinople on the south wall; go in the morning, before the coaches. In the afternoon, climb to the Rarău Hermitage, the monastery below Rarău on the Izvorul Alb road, where the bell rings against the forest (why Rarău is called the heart of the country, in the journal). In the evening, silence in the garden.

2. Day 242 min · 36,1 km Voroneț Monastery Humor Monastery

   The day of blue: Voroneț, the “Sistine Chapel of the East”, with the Last Judgement across the whole west wall in the colour nobody has managed to reproduce. Ten minutes away, Humor, smaller and more intimate, with the watchtower in its yard. A simple lunch at Bukowien, next to the monastery.

3. Day 326 min · 13,4 km St John Jacob Monastery, Corlățeni Sucevița Monastery Câmpulung Cathedral

   Choose by how your heart feels: Corlățeni, the blue wooden church on the hill, at the end of the Way of Golgotha through the icons; or Sucevița, the most fortified, with the Ladder of Virtues on its north wall, an hour away. Before leaving, a candle at Câmpulung Cathedral, a walk from the house.
