Adventure and adrenaline in Bucovina

A kilometre of flight over the Obcini, chairlift slopes fifteen minutes from the house, a mountain road you drive with the windows down. Bucovina isn't only contemplative. From La Cuib you leave in the morning with a low pulse and come back in the evening with red cheeks, and the garden and the quiet are exactly what you need afterwards. Adventure by day, the nest by night: that's how you rest best.

    The Obcini and the slopes of Rarău are enduro ground known across the country: forest roads, ridge paths and technical climbs, with mud in spring and dust in summer. The basic rule: forest roads may be ridden only with the forestry district's consent, otherwise fines are heavy, and motorised access on marked hiking trails is forbidden. So check with the forestry district beforehand about permitted routes.

A base for these days out

All of it, less than an hour from the gate.

The house is in Câmpulung, in the middle of the map: the monasteries east, the mountains west, the steam train north. You don't drive far to get anywhere.
