What the walking is like
A circuit leaving from the Paltin Research and Information Centre, climbing the Tomnatec valley and an old forest road to the crest, skirting Hodea hill and dropping into the Lespedea valley, then following the DJ 187 and climbing the Lupului valley to the Obcina crest.

Sleep at the foot of the mountain
La Cuib is half an hour by car plus a walk uphill from the start of this trail: a fully equipped kitchen that is yours from first light, a place to dry boots, a garden for the evening. Three nights, the whole house, 1,797 lei.
