What the walking is like
A climb from the Paltinu cabin up the Plai spur, through beech forest and open mountain, to the fold at Plai, then along the contour to the daffodil meadow, and down the Tomnatec valley.

The daffodil meadow at Tomnatec Sehlean is one of the few wild daffodil meadows in Maramureș.
Five hundred metres from the Paltinu cabin, across the valley, there is a built mineral spring, a borcut.

Sleep at the foot of the mountain
La Cuib is half an hour by car plus a walk uphill from the start of this trail: a fully equipped kitchen that is yours from first light, a place to dry boots, a garden for the evening. Three nights, the whole house, 1,797 lei.

The whole house is yours: wet boots by the door, packs in the hall, a late dinner. Parking in the yard and an early start, without waking anyone.
